Tasche

Terms of Service

Effective date: 27 October 2026

These terms apply to the Tasche app for Android (“the app”) and the website tascheapp.com (“the website”). Tasche is provided by Talha Shaukat, Vienna, Austria (“we”, “us”). By installing or using the app, or using the website, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use them.

1. What Tasche is

Tasche is a personal wallet app. It lets you store your own cards and documents, such as IDs, bank cards, passports, addresses and passwords, encrypted on your phone. You can optionally sign in with Google and sync your data, encrypted, through your own Google Drive. The app is free and has no ads.

2. Who can use it

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to use Tasche.

3. Your data and your responsibility

How we handle data is explained in our Privacy policy.

4. Not an official document

Tasche keeps a personal copy of your documents to help you find and share details quickly. It does not replace official documents. Authorities, banks, carriers and others may not accept a copy shown in the app. Always carry the originals where required.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Tasche:

6. Google services

Google sign-in and Google Drive are provided by Google. When you use them, Google's own terms and privacy policy also apply. Tasche only uses the Drive permission for its own hidden app folder, as described in the Privacy policy.

7. Licence and ownership

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on your own devices. The Tasche name, logo and app remain ours. The app includes open-source components, which are covered by their own licences, listed in the app under Settings > About > Open-source licences.

8. Changes and availability

We may update, change or stop the app or the website at any time, for example to fix problems or improve security. We will try to give notice of major changes, and we will never deliberately lock you out of the data on your own phone.

9. No warranty

Tasche is provided free of charge, “as is” and “as available”. We work hard to keep it secure and reliable, but we cannot promise that it will always be free of errors or interruptions, or that data can never be lost.

10. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damage, or for loss of data, arising from your use of Tasche. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for intent or gross negligence, for personal injury, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

11. Ending use

You can stop using Tasche at any time by erasing its data (Settings > Data > Erase all data) and uninstalling it. If you use sync, you can also delete Tasche's Drive data when you disconnect Drive in Settings.

12. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will update this page and the effective date above. If you keep using Tasche after a change, you accept the new terms.

13. Law

These terms are governed by Austrian law, without its conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring claims in the courts there.
